将KnockOut 2.0作为fireworks MX的插件安装了，可以在fireworks MX中启动KnockOut 2.0插件，也可以实现抠图了，但是抠好图以后，点击“应用”要返回到fireworks MX中时，出现下面的错误对话框： could not complete your request. An internal error occurred. 导致抠好的图不能在fireworks MX中出现，还是原图。 在线等待～

1. General Information: This update was intended to address the following issues:

Adobe(R) Photoshop(R) 7 compatibility Performance issues Top issues from customers

2. What are Packaged Plug-ins? Packaged plug-ins are plug-ins that are put into a Mac(R) bundle or package. Adobe Photoshop 7 includes both Carbon and non-Carbon executables. Because there is only one "Plug-ins" folder and two executables, plug-in manufacturers create a package that includes the Carbon fileset and the non-Carbon fileset.

If you are still unsure of whether your host application has been Carbonized or whether it supports packaged plug-ins, please contact the software manufacturer.

3. Update Installation Instructions:

IMPORTANT: This update is designed to patch the retail build of KnockOut 2. For Mac users, it includes the HotFix (Dec 2001). Please follow the directions below to install this update.

PC:

Before installing the KnockOut 2 Update, please follow the instructions below: 1) Double-click the KnockOut 2 Update file. 2) Follow the prompts to install the KnockOut 2 Update. 3) Check the build number. The Release build number is 2.77.0.0, while the Update build number is 2.88.0.0. To verify, find the KnockOut 2 executable file. Go to the ...\\KnockOut 2\\Programs folder, and right-click on the KnockOut.exe file. Choose Properties, then click version tab.

MAC:

Mac users will see three options. You will be able to update the Carbon and non-Carbon installations, or install the Adobe Photoshop 7 compliant fileset. This Update is designed to patch the KnockOut retail build. If you have installed the KnockOut 2 Hot Fix (Dec 2001), then you will be required to uninstall KnockOut 2 and reinstall the retail build.

Carbon Installation: 1) If you have installed the KnockOut 2 Hotfix (Dec 2001), then uninstall KnockOut 2 from your computer. If not, then skip to Step 3. 2) Install KnockOut 2 from your CD. Do not launch the application after the installation. 3) Install the KnockOut 2 Update, choosing the Carbon Update option. 4) Check the build number. The Release build number is 2.77.0.0, while the Update build number is 2.88.0.0. To verify, find the KnockOut 2 executable file. Go to the KnockOut 2 application file and perform a Get Info by clicking CMD+I.

Package (Adobe Photoshop 7) Installation. 4. List of issues that have been addressed. The overall performance of KnockOut 2 has been improved significantly on the Mac. The touchup tools have been improved. Pushpin accuracy has been addressed. Syringe accuracy has been addressed. Marquee select tool accuracy has been addressed. Colour picker issues have been addressed. Loupe zoom will work past 100% on PC. However, if you go past 1000% zoom level and try to Loupe zoom, you may experience difficulties. If you find that your selections lines have been hidden, press L to refresh them.

Installation Notes:

Tip: Make sure you meet the minimum system requirements and you have no open applications (including any running in the background, such as anti-virus software, crash monitoring software, and system diagnostic software).

1. Insert the KnockOut 2 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

2. The KnockOut 2 Intro screen will appear. (If this function is disabled on you computer browse to "My Computer" and double click on your CD-ROM Drive) Click the "Install KnockOut 2" option.

3. The KnockOut 2 welcome screen will appear, click "Next" to continue.

4. Read the License Agreement and if you agree to the terms of the license click "Yes".

5. Enter you Name and Serial Number and click "Next".

6. Select "Typical" or "Custom" and click "Next". If you selected "Custom" you can now choose the components to install.

7. Select the Program Files Destination folder (We suggest leaving the path to default) and click "Next".

8. Setup prompts you to locate your Plug-ins folder. This folder is likely within the Adobe(R) Photoshop(R) application folder, or within the folder of a compatible host such as Corel PHOTO-PAINT(R) , or Painter 7(TM) .

9. When you have a complete path statement ending with your Plug-ins folder, click the "OK" button.

10. Click "Next" to continue.
11. You are now at the Current Settings page. You have the choice to start the install or go back and make modifications.
12. Click "Next" to begin the installation.

After completing the installation, run the host application, such as Adobe(R) Photoshop(R), Corel PHOTO-PAINT(R) , or Painter 7(TM), and choose the KnockOut 2 plug-in from within the "Filter" or "Effects" menu.

NOTE: To run KnockOut from multiple host applications, KnockOut needs to be installed to each of the host application plug-in folders.

KnockOut 2 Application Notes

General

• You may experience some color shifting when an image/layer is loaded into KnockOut 2. The layer is applied back to the host application correctly.
• Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8 - When you use Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8 as a host, images brought into KnockOut experience a large color shift. This is due to the fact that Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8 gives KnockOut the RGB color information in a different order than KnockOut is expecting, thus creating a discrepancy in the display of the image. The image is applied back to Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8 correctly.

Memory

• 128 MB of RAM is the minimum requirement to run the application. However, for larger images make sure you have a total of at least 3 times the image size in available memory (either real or virtual memory).

Load Working Layer

• To load a working layer, a valid layer (not the background) must be selected. If the image you want to knock out is part of the background you must either copy the image to a valid layer or duplicate the background to create a valid layer.
• Painter - To avoid data corruption in Painter, layers must first be dropped to the canvas and then copied and pasted to create a new a layer prior to loading the working layer in KnockOut
• Layer transparency should not be locked. Because KnockOut works with transparency information on a layer, locking the layer transparency could cause undesirable results.

Load Saved Project

• Before loading a saved project you must create and select and empty layer. Make sure that this empty layer is large enough to accommodate the image to be knocked out. If the layer is not big enough, the image will be cropped.
• When loading a saved project, ensure that the current project is in the same color mode as the saved project being loaded. If they are not, then image corruption will occur when returning to host application. For example, if your current project is in CMYK, and saved project is in RGB, then the image will be corrupted when applied back to the host application.

Applying image to host application

• The plug-in will not automatically create an alpha channel. When the image is brought back to the host, you can create a mask channel containing the transparency information of the image and shadow combined. For instructions on how to create this channel, please refer to the KnockOut documentation.

• Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader(R) is required to view some of the user documentation.

Tutorials

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher, or Netscape 4.6 or higher is required to view the tutorials.
